Join us for an evening exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping our understanding of human connection.
This lecture will examine how technology increasingly influences the way we relate to one another, and will contrast that with what real human relationships both require of us and reveal about our deepest needs.
Drawing from his years of supporting those most affected by cultural and technological shifts—particularly people with disabilities and others who experience social isolation—Andrew Oliver approaches the topic as a practitioner of relationship-building. His recent interest in technology stems not only from the threats it poses to isolated and marginalized groups, but also from what it reveals about the nature of human relationships themselves. The wisdom gained through his work in founding and leading Do For One offers unique insight into this conversation.
His position takes a critical yet nuanced look at AI from a Judeo-Christian perspective, while welcoming people of all worldviews and perspectives into a thoughtful reflection on what authentic relationships and thriving communities require.
