Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the largest British charities, providing specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also advocates for the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone who has cancer in the UK.
About us:
Lajna Imaillah (commonly known as Lajna) is the Ahmadiyya Muslim Women’s Association, an auxiliary organisation of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
Lajna Imaillah was established in 1922. It provides women a structure to train, develop, and enhance their religious and academic knowledge. The aim of Lajna Ima’illah (meaning maids of Allah) is to raise awareness amongst women of their important status, their great responsibilities as well as their role in the training of the next generation. They are also reminded to focus on their duties towards mankind as well as their contribution to the society in which they live. There are more than 12,000 members of Lajna Imaillah in the UK at present. Through their actions and initiatives, Lajna strive to reach out to communities and spread the true peaceful message of Islam.
