Science Café on the Coast will host a presentation “Ahead of the Buzz: Bee-coming Swarm Savvy” on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 am at Margaret Sherry Public Library. Join Amy Dupree, a local beekeeper, as she explains why bees swarm, how to safely respond if you encounter one, and how professionals carefully remove and relocate the bees. You’ll also learn what happens to the swarm after it’s collected and why these remarkable pollinators are so important to our ecosystem.This event offers those with minimal background in science the chance to meet and discuss scientific issues in a relaxed social setting.
Admission is free and open to the public, with light refreshments available.
