About this Event
In this four hour video-based, hands-on instructor led course, you will be taught critical skills including how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, heart attack, seizure, shock, burns, and how to respond to other first aid emergencies.
Upon completion of this course, students will receive an American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid course completion card that is valid for two years. The Heartsaver First Aid Course provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from the critical minutes immediately following an emergency until the arrival of emergency medical services personnel.
This course is designed for the general community and is applicable to basic emergency medical care in a wide variety of situations. We recommend this course to those assigned to respond to emergencies in the workplace or community. Some rescuers are required to take this course as part of their employer's efforts to comply with OSHA regulations, e.g., corporate employees, security guards, airline personnel, lifeguards and other individuals who want or need First Aid Training.

If a class appears sold out, it is possible to drop-in on the course. In this case, you should arrive about 15-30 minutes early to the class you wish to enroll into, and inform the instructors that you wish to drop-in, and pay up-front in cash for the course ($10 for UCLA undergrads, $20 for anyone else). REFUND POLICY: To cancel your reservation and receive a full refund, you must submit a request to [email protected] no later than 48 hours before the posted start time of your class. Requests submitted after this deadline are managed on a case-by-case basis (e.g. extenuating circumstances) and may not be refunded. Alternatively, you may request for your reservation to be transferred to a different posted date of your choosing, provided there is space in the class.
