The Spiritual Sound réunit les voix de Dan Meyer et Leah Levinson en un seul langage spirituel. Dan écrit en se dirigeant vers le divin à travers le bruit, nourri par le bouddhisme zen, l’effondrement historique et le deuil extatique, tandis que les chansons de Leah, ancrées dans l’histoire queer et la littérature de l’ère du sida, envisagent la survie comme un rituel quotidien.
Formé dans la scène noise de Los Angeles par Kern Haug et Dan Meyer, puis complété avec Richard Chowenhill et Leah Levinson, Agriculture n’a cessé d’affiner son black metal extatique. De The Circle Chant (2022) à l’album éponyme de 2023, puis Living Is Easy (2024), le groupe approfondit un équilibre entre intensité dévotionnelle et lourdeur rayonnante.
Construit par un processus collectif de déconstruction et de reconstruction, et ancré dans la réalité du quotidien en tournée, The Spiritual Sound n’offre pas le salut mais une présence — une confrontation directe à l’instant, où le sens reste possible à travers la souffrance.

The Spiritual Sound unites the voices of Dan Meyer and Leah Levinson into a single spiritual language. Dan writes toward the divine through noise, drawing on Zen Buddhism, historical collapse, and ecstatic grief, while Leah’s songs, rooted in queer history and AIDS-era literature, frame survival as a daily ritual.
Formed in the Los Angeles noise scene by Kern Haug and Dan Meyer and later completed with Richard Chowenhill and Leah Levinson, Agriculture has continually refined its ecstatic black metal. From The Circle Chant (2022) to the 2023 self-titled album and Living Is Easy (2024), the band has deepened its blend of devotional intensity and radiant heaviness.
Built through collective dismantling and reconstruction, and grounded in everyday touring life, The Spiritual Sound offers not salvation but presence — a direct confrontation with the moment, where meaning remains possible through suffering.
