About this Event
2024 Womanist Wellness Convening Tuesday & Wednesday October 29-30, 2024
Theme: Aging Well in the New Era of Longevity
The ability to age well is one of the most important topics of today. According to the World Economic Forum, by 2034 older adults will outnumber children in the US. In addition, systemic inequities continue to adversely affect Black Seasoned Older Adults in aging, thereby impacting financial security and health outcomes.
Let’s explore our individual and collective work, and create a vision.
Join Aging Well Renaissance, and our cosponsors Saint Louis University African American Studies Department, and the Womanist Initiative a program of Lutheran Southern Seminiary Lifelong Learning Hub, as we gather grassroots women, clinical professionals, community leaders, academics, members of faith communities, and representatives of agencies serving older populations, for sharing of wisdom & knowledge, making connections, and celebration.
The ticket includes all Tuesday and Wednesday activities, meals, surprise goodies, FREE onsite paking, and a cooy of the newly released A Future with Hope: Black Women's Wisdom on Aging Well.
There will also be vendors and resource tables.
