Just because someone turns 50 doesn't mean they stop having sex, so why do we stop talking about it?About this Event
Sexuality and sex continue throughout the adult lifespan. But as we age, things might be different, or our interests may change. Here, we’ll talk about what is sexual health, how aging and HIV may affect someone’s sex life, and ways to keep having a healthy, safer sex life. We will also work on communication skills and addressing our own biases when it comes to stigma around Sexuality and Aging.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize at least 4 aspects of how sexuality may change for someone while they are aging.
- State at least 2 health reasons why it is important to recognize that older adults engage in sexual behaviors.
- Identify how one’s own bias around age affects providing the highest quality sexual health services to older adults.
