The Aghalee Repair Café is BACK this weekend! This weekend’s Repair Café is a little bit special as we’re teaming up with NIRN (Northern Ireland Resources Network) as part of Reuse and Repair Week (30th May – 6th June), celebrating the amazing work being done across Northern Ireland to keep perfectly good items out of landfill and give them a second chance at life.
The event comes hot on the heels of our adventure to Belfast Grand Central Station last Saturday, where some of the Aghalee crew joined NIRN to showcase the repair and reuse movement to commuters from across the country. We may have survived the big city, but we’re delighted to be back on home turf where the tea is stronger and the repairs are even better!
So if you’ve got a wobbly chair, a temperamental toaster, a stubborn clock, a bike that’s forgotten how to bike, or anything else that deserves one more shot at glory, bring it along and let our volunteers work their magic.
Not everything can be saved, but we’ll always give it our best shot — and every successful repair means less waste, more savings, and a win for the environment.
