What We’re About:Agape means Sacrificial Love. It’s the love that Jesus had for us on the cross and it’s what he asked of Peter, and of all of those that choose to follow him. In Matthew 16:24 he says “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” The Agape Youth Ministry sees the need to cultivate this sacrificial love between our youth and between the churches. The idea is to bring youth together from different churches and to engage them in service to the Lord. It’s not always easy, but when believers come together to humbly seek God and serve Christ, the Holy Spirit brings a unity that binds us together.
This is not a music ministry as much as it is a ministry of the soul. The emphasis is placed is on praising God with a clean heart; music is just the tool we use to do that.
Vision: To create a closely-knit community of passionate & Christ-like believers that are ready and willing to serve in the Church and in the world.

Jesus is coming soon: Hold Fast to the word of Life
““And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write: ‘The words of the holy one, the true one, who has the key of David, who opens and no one will shut, who shuts and no one opens. “‘I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—behold, I will make them come and bow down before your feet, and they will learn that I have loved you. Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown. The one who conquers, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God. Never shall he go out of it, and I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down from my God out of heaven, and my own new name. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.’”

The church of Philadelphia, was a church commended for their faith, In fact, it is the only church that the Lord has nothing negative to say out of the seven churches described in the book of Revelation. They were a church that was facing persecution and hardship and yet having little power, they believed in the holy one who has the key of life and kept the word of Jesus and did not deny his name. They endured and persevered by the power of the Holy Spirit spreading the gospel. The message that Jesus gives them is that is he coming quickly, and the command he gives them is to hold fast to what they have, their faith. The promise for those who overcome, will be the reward of eternal life and a new name that the Jesus himself will give them.
When the Lord returns to gather his bride, what will he say to each of us? Will he say “good and faithful servant “or will he say “depart from me, I never knew you?” The society we live in is so evil, corrupt and full of sin that leads to eternal damnation. The times are getting extremely difficult and many people’s love is growing cold and even denying the Lord. Will you hold fast to the word of Life? Will you sacrifice everything for the Word of life? Will you live as a testimony of Jesus sacrifice no matter what trouble or persecution comes your way? The Good news is that Jesus indeed is alive and has given us his spirit to dwell in us to help us overcome this world. Yes, we may litte power but Jesus is the one who opens the door for us to walk through and spread his word. By his supernatural power, we gain strength to know, love and keep his word until he returns. Our home is in paradise in the presence of our savior who will one day come back for us. Persevere in faith until the end, whether he calls you home or he returns for us, his bride. Our home is not here but in eternity with our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
