The Aga Khan Palace was built in 1892 by Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan 3 to provide employment to the famine hit villagers around Pune. During the Quit India Movement Mahatma Gandhi, Kasturba Gandhi & Sarojini Naidu were kept under house arrest here from 1942 to 1944. It is here that Kasturba Gandhi died. In this Heritage Walk we will be exploring the Aga Khan Palace, now a Gandhi memorial and get to know more about the Quit India Movement.
