About this Event
The SIPP team is in full planning mode for the 2026 RASQ Toowoomba Royal Show (26–28 March 2026) and are delighted to announce the return of our popular Ag Discovery school tours!
Ag Discovery focuses on food and fibre production through tailored demonstrations and workshops in a show setting designed for primary-aged students. The aim is to help young learners understand where their food and fibre comes from and appreciate the vital role farming plays in our everyday lives.
This one-day event will be held on Thursday, 26 March 2026, from 9:30am to 12:00pm, and is open to all primary students (Prep to Year 6). Students will engage with a range of agricultural industry demonstrations across multiple commodities while enjoying the Toowoomba Royal Show.
Event Details:
- Students will be timetabled in groups by year level and school before the event.
- Each group will attend five 20 minute sessions (plus changeover time), with a short break for morning tea.
- After the sessions, schools will have a lunch break and free time to enjoy the Show.
- Final timetables and further details will be distributed in the week prior to the event.
There are no prerequisites for participation, students do not need to be studying agriculture to benefit from attending.
Student Requirements:

- 🎒Bring your own food and drinks (or purchase from Show vendors if preferred)
Cost:
Attendance is free for all students, compliments of the Toowoomba Royal Show. Each school will receive one complimentary adult pass per eight students to cover teachers, teacher aides, and supervising parents. Additional adult tickets will be $5 per person, with an invoice sent to the school upon registration via Eventbrite.
