Join us for an evening to view and then discuss this POWERFUL documentary exploring Black Maternal Mortality in America.
About this Event

"Following the deaths of two young women due to childbirth complications, two bereaved families galvanize activists, birth-workers and physicians to reckon with one of the most pressing American crises today: the US maternal health crisis. Directed by Paula Eiselt and Tonya Lewis Lee"

The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in partnership with the Massachusetts Section of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) invite you to a showing of the Hulu documentary, "Aftershock". Following the showing there will be an in person (live-streamed) Q&A session. Guest speakers will include Neel Shah, MD, MPP, FACOG, CEO of Maven Clinic, and Amber Weiseth, DNP, RNC-OB, Director of Delivery Decisions Initiative at Ariadne Labs.

Light refreshments to follow the event.

While this event is free of charge, please register so that we may have an accurate picture of attendance. If you'd like to attend but cannot make it to the in-person showing, we will broadcast the Q&A via zoom (or similar platform). We cannot show the documentary livestream so watch on your own from home and join us for the Q&A!!
