About this Event
Join us for an early Christmas volunteer opportunity with The Mount Continuing Care Community.
The Mount Continuing Care Community is a wonderful place that provides quality care and support for seniors. They are all about creating a warm and friendly environment for their residents and guests.
In this Afternoon of Service, we will start by visiting the residents' rooms to help them create their Christmas wish lists! Students are encouraged to get to know the residents while they record gift ideas.
After, students and residents will kick back and enjoy some hot cocoa and social time. This event will be sure to brighten the residents' day while gaining experience volunteering with a local organization.
The Mount is located very close to UPEI at 141 Mount Edward Road. There is a trail that connects the UPEI Campus and the Mount. For this event, we will meet on campus and walk as a group to the Mount.
All participants are asked to meet at the Career Studio, room 209 Dalton Hall on campus, at 2:10 p.m. Please be on time as we will be walking over to the Mount and won't be waiting for anyone if they're late.
This event is free, and The Mount will provide all the necessary supplies.
Don’t miss out on this fun and meaningful event!
Register by Monday, November 18th at noon.
