About this Event
Plan to join us in McDougall’s garden for an afternoon of traditional folk music, featuring T42 (Tea for Two).
This talented duo, consisting of Gwen Potter on viola d’amore (a five-string violin with sympathetic strings) and Brad McEwen on cittern (a ten-string mandola) - who along with Paul Morris performed as T43 (Tea for Three) for several years - will be treating us to a lively program of mostly English folk tunes along with plenty of music from France, Belgium, Scotland, Canada, Scandinavia, and beyond.
As part of a variety of bands they have performed at folk festivals and events all across Ontario and the UK. Brad was the founder of the Mill Race Festival of Traditional Folk Music and directed it for its 26 year run, with Gwen as the Society’s Secretary.
Light refreshments will be served.
In case of inclement weather T42 will be cancelled, and a message will be sent to all attendees at least one hour before the event. Refunds will be provided.
Cost:$10+HST per person (eventbrite fees may apply). Advance tickets are also available for in-person purchase at the Cottage during its hours of operation. Limited tickets may be available at the door.
