Afternoon blues dance workshop. For those who already know the basics of blues dancing.
There will be 3 hours of classes (from 1-5pm, with times for breaks)
Your teachers: Melissa Davy and Anders Ingram.
What we’ll cover: Slowing down our Blues. The workshop aim to get you ready to dance to the live music playing that evening - we’ll cover delta blues, lag and some solo movements.
When: 14th March, 1-5pm

In the evening join us for a night of dancing and live music at Hoodoo blues (aditional cost of £10).
Melissa and Anders are a well-established Newcastle-based teaching team known for their strong pedagogy, musicality, and welcoming approach to blues dance.
Melissa is the founder of Hoodoo Blues. She brings a love of creativity, connection, and the playful variety of blues music to her teaching, grounded in a first-class degree and a Master’s in Education.
Anders has been teaching dance for many years. He is a highly skilled dancer and musician. His teaching is clear, thoughtful, and grounded in musical understanding, helping dancers develop both confidence and expression on the floor.
