A girl walks down a blossom-lined street, a knife clutched in her pocket. She's on her way to confront the man she believes killed her mother.Batman (aka Naomi's Death Show) is an interactive live storytelling piece that asks some uncomfortable questions: how does the entertainment industry exploit stories of death and trauma? And what does it mean to grieve together?
This is a show about personal loss, dark humour, and collective experience. It draws on the author's own experience of bereavement, takes aim at the true crime genre, and somehow finds room for funny cat stories along the way. Audiences play Death Bingo, take part in Serial Killer Family Fortunes, and the whole thing ends with an onstage shiva ceremony where you're invited to share in a moment of communal grief.
You help shape where the show goes. You'll face your own complicity in the story's outcome: vengeance or mercy? The choice is yours.
