About this Event

A Science-Driven Exploration of Love, Attraction, & Connection

Join a relationship scientist and psychology instructor for Attachment & Attraction: Into the World of Separation, an engaging session that explores what really shapes our closest relationships. We’ll dive into the research behind attraction, the psychology of attachment styles, and why some relationships grow closer while others create distance.

This isn’t a lecture full of psychology jargon. It’s a lively, interactive conversation designed to offer practical insights you can use in your own life—along with plenty of surprising facts and “I didn’t realize that!” moments along the way. Curiosity encouraged.

About The Speaker:
Dr. Marisa T. Cohen, Ph.D., LMFT is a relationship scientist, licensed marriage and family therapist, and psychology instructor who bridges research and real-world relationships. She founded Embracing Change Marriage and Family Therapy to support individuals, couples, and families with evidence-based strategies for connection and communication, and consults with dating and mental health apps to apply relationship science to everyday life. Dr. Cohen is the author of From First Kiss to Forever: A Scientific Approach to Love and her insights have been featured in media, lectures, and TEDx talks exploring attraction, attachment, and healthy relationships.
