About this Event
Join us for an After Hours Studio session inspired by The Falkenberg Encyclopaedia, a long-term public artwork by Olivia Plender installed throughout the Argus Centre in Sweden.
The Falkenberg Encyclopaedia takes the form of a fictional encyclopaedia, bringing together imagined histories, overlooked figures and alternative ways of understanding the world.
As part of this relaxed, hands-on After Hours Studio session, you’ll create your own drypoint etchings inspired by the curious illustrations found in early encyclopaedias. While learning this timeless printmaking technique, we’ll also consider the gaps, omissions and myths surrounding women’s healthcare in scientific and public knowledge; themes explored in Olivia Plender's exhibition here at Modern Art Oxford displaying 23rd May- 16th August 2026.
Ticket includes a complimentary drink.
