About this Event

The Afro Caribbean Day Party Experience at @somerset.otr is set for another Sunday event.

Date is Sunday October 19th. 3pm to 9pm

Cuff’d Card Game Day party x TizieB Entertainment

Theme: Afrobeats • Amapiano • Afro-Caribbean Energy

Location: 🏝️ Somerset OTR – 139 E McMicken Ave, Cincinnati, OH Time: 3PM – 9PM (music ends, games continue as long as vibes stay alive) Concept: A day party meets game night experience. Guests flow between zones, vibing to live DJ sets while playing Cuff’d signature games — casually or competitively — all throughout the venue.

Event Layout Overview

1. Lounge & Bar Area — “Chill & Cuff’d Zone”
  • Small Cuff’d Card decks placed across tables, bars, vans, and canopy seating.
  • Casual, open play environment — icebreakers, flirting prompts, and laughter.
  • Great for warming up the crowd while the DJ sets the early afternoon tone.

2. Back Room — “Guided Play Room”
  • Main Cuff’d Card Decks.
  • Low background music to allow conversation flow.
  • Optional host guiding card-based rounds.
  • Perfect for guests who want deeper connections or quieter interactions.

3. Outdoor Main Area — “Main Game Arena”
  • DJ Booth by TizieB Entertainment — Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afro-Caribbean mix.
  • Main Game Night Table Installation with group challenges and head-to-head gameplay.
  • Teams or individuals can register to get added into the play lineup.

Host or MC runs games in rotation while music plays during rounds.

Game Rotation Breakdown
🟥 Game 1: Cuff’d Cards (Main & Casual Zones)

How it works:

  • Simple conversational prompts designed for connection and fun.
  • Can be played 1-on-1 or in small groups.
  • Each round, a player draws a card and answers the card or everyone must answer the prompt if directed to group.
  • Perfect icebreaker for the entire event; sets the tone for easy interaction.

🟨 Game 2: Flip Match

How it works:

  • Players flip Cuff’d cards two at a time to find matching pairs.
  • First player or team to complete all matches wins the round. Losers choose from the loser deck.

🟩 Game 3: Drinking Tic-Tac-Toe

How it works:

  • Classic tic-tac-toe using Cuff’d cards.
  • Two teams face off — first to make a line wins, losing team picks from challenge deck.

Fast-paced, easy to rotate multiple groups through during the event.

💙 4. 🥤 FLIP CUP RELAY + FINAL CHALLENGE CARDS

Flip Cup Meets Cuff’d

Setup:

  • 4–6 red Solo cups per team, flipped upside down on a long table.
  • Each player must flip their cup before the next can start.
  • Last cup flipped = triggers a Final Challenge Card (mild group challenge).

Examples of Final Challenge Cards:

  • “Create a 10-second team chant and perform it to the DJ’s beat.”
  • “Nominate one teammate to freestyle why you’ll win next time.”
  • “Team hug + 3-second dance circle before you sit down.”

Vibe: Hype, crowd-cheering, and a perfect bridge between DJ sets. Twist: Losing team draws a 😈 Loser Dare Card.

😈 LOSER DARE CARDS (Mini-Deck)

For every competitive game, the losing team must draw one card and complete the dare immediately. This keeps the energy unpredictable, hilarious, and social.

Example Dares:

  • “Give a dramatic Oscar speech for why your team lost.”
  • “Swap clothes with someone for the next round.”
  • “Make a 30-sec IG story confessing your crush in the room.”

“Take 2 group selfies and send one to your ex.”

  • “Every player on your team takes a shot while twerking.”

Purpose: Keeps losing teams engaged and laughing — no one leaves the game salty.

🏆 TEAM REGISTRATION SYSTEM
  • Teams of 2–4 players sign up at the main area upon arrival.
  • Each team is assigned a color wristband or number.
  • Teams are rotated through Flip Match, Tic-Tac-Toe, and Flip Cup Relay throughout the night.
  • Guests without teams can join open rounds or mix in with others.
  • Winning teams get drinks, merch, or bragging rights.
