African Penguin Spotlight: An Evening of Conservation and Conversation

Tickets are $25.00 per person and available online at www.dakotazoo.org, or in person at the Antler Trading Post. Light Appetizers will be catered by Lady J's and a cash bar will be available. Open to all current Dakota Zoo Members.
Keynote Speaker: Through the support of the Dakota Zoo Conservation Fund, Allison Malkowski, Assistant Director, traveled to South Africa in December of 2024 to aid in the rehabilitation and release of the critically endangered African Penguins. Allison was accepted into the Professional Volunteer Program at SANCCOB, the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds, to assist in their mission to save seabirds. The Dakota Zoo opened their African Penguin habitat in September of 2021 and this dynamic species has made a ‘splash’ in the community ever since! Come hear about her experience and how your support of the zoo made this opportunity possible.
