African bass drums, primarily the West African dunun (or dundun) family, are cylindrical, stick-played drums that provide the deep, melodic foundation for ensembles, often accompanied by bells. They come in three main sizes—kenkeni (small/high), sangban (medium/mid), and dununba (large/low)—and are made from wood with cowhide heads.Come join Linda and learn to play these wonderful drums, so much fun to play! We'll learn to play both Traditional and Ballet Style. I have 10 drums to share.
Registration will be through Roanoke City Parks & Recreation and I will post the link here as soon as it's live.
