Tony has also organised The Black History Month Celebrations at The UK House of Parliament every year since 2013 and is arguably the 1st Nigerian to organise Black History Events at The UK House of Parliament .
The annual events he has organised at the UK House of Parliament over the last several years has attracted community leaders and distinguished guests from different parts of the Country .
Tony has a flair for bringing people together from different cultural backgrounds to celebrate their stories and connect collectively
Tony has also won 26 awards, visited over 40 Countries and written and published four books.

KAREN OKRA - BASED IN HULL
Karen Okra is a Hull-based community activist, honorary associate of the Wilberforce Institute, and advocate for race and gender equality. She is a former Hull 2017 board member known for discussing identity and heritage, and was involved in documenting African stories in Yorkshire.
Lane Anthony - RETIRED SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, PUBLISHED WRITER AND NEORODIVERSITY COACH BASED IN LONDON
Lane Anthony is a pioneering author and thought leader in the field of neurodiversity, dedicated to transforming how society perceives and supports neurological differences. Best known for his seminal works, Autism a Superpower – An Awakening and The Dynamic Development Plan, Lane challenges the traditional medical model that focuses on deficits.
Instead, he champions a strengths-based philosophy, providing educators and families with practical blueprints to identify and cultivate cognitive assets. His innovative frameworks serve as the intellectual foundation for the DECKACY charity’s ecosystem and are actively shaping the curriculum at forward-thinking institutions like Elevating Futures Education. Through his writing and advocacy, Lane empowers professionals to see neurodivergence not as a barrier, but as a dynamic force for development.
Dr Sohal Ahmed – Director of Bradford 4 BETTER organisation ( National Diversity Award Winners and Winners of The King’s Award ) - BASED IN BRADFORD
Dr Sohail Abraham Ahmed is a multi-award winning medical doctor and the founder of Aelixir Media and Aelixir Healing.Dr Sohail is from Bradford, U.K. and works in a number of sectors, including the NHS, community, voluntary, arts and media.
Dr Sohail is regarded as one of the top GP’s in the U.K after being nominated as the GP of the year at the National General Practice awards in 2021.
Dr Sohail is a founding member and the current Chair of one of the largest and fastest growing community-action groups in the United Kingdom, Bradford 4 Better, who were also the recipients of the first ever King’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2024.
Dr Sohail has worked in multiple sectors over the years ranging from retail, hospitality, sports, voluntary, community and healthcare and continues to provide mentorship and opportunities for those seeking work experience.
PERFRMING ARTIST - HEKIMA
Hekima
Hekima is a Tanzanian musician, songwriter, and community development worker
based in Kingston Upon Hull, UK. His musical roots run deep in the heritage of the
Ngoni tribe, originally from Southern Africa before settling in Northern Tanzania—a
culture renowned for its rich musical traditions.
He was the founder and lead singer of “Hekima and the Bongoflava”, a band that
enjoyed a successful run and released a well-received debut album titled “Sonrise”,
which was also showcased on BBC Radio Humberside.
Hekima musical style blends the tribal sounds of his childhood with influences from
reggae and hip hop, drawing inspiration from artists such as Bob Marley, Fela Kuti,
and KRS-One.
In recent years, Hekima stepped back from performing to focus on honing his craft
and dedicating himself to community development work. Now, he is ready to return
to the stage as a solo artist, performing with his acoustic guitar and the occasional
djembe drum, bringing a raw, soulful energy to every performance.
His future aspirations include forming a new band to showcase his evolved sound
and make an even greater impact through music and message.
PERFORMING ARTIST - ABIDEMI SAX - HULL BASED SAXAPHONIST
Abidemi Amosu (Abidemi Sax)
Abidemi Amosu, professionally known as Abidemi Sax, is a contemporary saxophonist, musicologist, and performer known for his expressive sound and distinctive blend of cultural heritage, spirituality, and modern musical influences. With decades of experience, he has developed a unique artistic voice that resonates with diverse audiences across the United Kingdom and beyond.
He holds a National Certificate in Education (NCE) in Music from Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, a Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Ibadan, and a Master of Music degree from the University of Hull, United Kingdom. His academic background, combined with extensive performance experience, has shaped his versatility across genres including jazz, gospel, and Afro-influenced contemporary music.
Abidemi Sax has performed at a wide range of events and venues, earning recognition for his rich tone, stage presence, and ability to communicate emotion through music. His performances are often described as engaging, soulful, and deeply reflective.
As a recording artist and composer, his works include Temi, Smile, Selenkejo, Ife Osupa, and Trust in God. These compositions reflect a fusion of personal storytelling, cultural identity, and innovative sound, positioning him as a creative force within the contemporary music space.
