Join us for the 5th Annual Celebration of Africa Day as we commemorate the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU)—now the African Union (AU)—established on May 25, 1963. This special day marks the enduring legacy of the pan-African movement, which helped shape liberation, unity, and socio-economic progress across the continent.

This 2026, we celebrate over 61 years of African unity and global cooperation, with a renewed focus on strengthening Africa–Canada partnerships in business, innovation, and community development.

This year’s Africa Day theme highlights the growing collaboration between African nations and Canada—across trade, investment, entrepreneurship, culture, and education. It reflects the shared commitment to inclusive growth, diaspora engagement, and sustainable development.
