About this Event
They will be gifted with information that every woman deserves to have right from the start!
We’ve created a safe space to have honest conversations about menstruation and period preparation. We will explore healthy ways to live with lessons taught in an open and fun way.
This program is recommended for girls ages 11 to 13 years old and designed for those that have reached menarche (their first period) or are close to starting.
Topics Discussed:
Explanation of the menstrual cycle and basic anatomy review
Feminine hygiene and instruction on how to use products (simulation only)
Explanation of period poverty and how it impacts our community
Activities Include:
Games and Prizes
Community Service Activity (assembly of feminine hygiene kits for donation)
Hands on Demonstration and Instruction
Q&A
Lunch and snacks will be provided
By the end of the course girls will have:
A better understanding of changes happening with their minds and bodies
A network of support with friends and instructors
An understanding of period poverty and how it impacts our community
