Idea : So we would do our regular open mic session right? But we wanted to do something more!
We’re gonna do… okay so we planned for a storytelling session where we talk about dumb romantic stories either from your bedroom or outside (if you had any)
Oh, then an Open Mic where we talk about the community that raised you or rather made you into the queer & weird adults/children that we are.

Theme : It takes a tribe
Idea : There are people we call our friends, and relate with in ways that, well, apart from them? We never will. And whether as an act of purpose, or as an act of consequence, these are the people, and these are the places that let us do just that, letting so many of us grow into ourselves, with the help of them, with them being there, or simply with them.
Quite self-referential, if you ask me, but in that same tone? Just as true. After all, there’s more than enough of us who have found what we can call our tribe amongst those who have turned to regulars here.
Or, if I may be more “unofficial” about it? It takes a tribe to raise a queer child. Or Adult.

An open mic about queer stories. Simple as that honestly. Artists in ways of storytelling poetry comedy and songs always tell us about themselves the softness of their emotions in affection or just.. love? A constant. A space to feel accepted understood and related to.
