"Through the course of Affections the themes have been a subtle manner of approach that charts one’s journey through a sense of self-realization about being queer starting with the self and expanding to the more generalized nature of society and this? This is an expansion of the same finally tilting to the point of being now.
Of accepting being queer.. and just going about it. Of sharing those tales with a community of the adventures the mis-adventures and well delightfully the regularity of it? This? This is somehow in the simplest sense a return to the roots of it. A return to just celebrating being queer but from the now instead of the start of the journey! "

An open mic about queer stories. Simple as that honestly. Artists through the formats of storytelling poetry comedy and songs tell us about themselves the softness of their emotions in affection or just.. love? A constant. A space to feel accepted understood and related to.
