It's a baffling thing that finding one’s own family and getting to pick them for ourselves. Getting to pick the people you know love you and want to be with you no matter what who at the end of the day? Always want to be with you. Who need nothing more from you than for you to be you and that for them is good enough always.
That is what found family is about after all. About after all the journeys we go through simply finding a home for
ourselves. And that’s it. Nothing more. This then is a celebration of that found family and that journey it takes for one to get to them and find it.
An open mic about queer stories. Simple as that honestly. Artists in ways of storytelling poetry comedy and songs always tell us about themselves the softness of their emotions in affection or just.. love? A constant. A space to feel accepted understood and related to.
