Aerials are a truly iconic part of Swing Dancing – swing legend Frankie Manning’s eyes would light up when talking about air steps.This workshop is aimed at those new to flying. It will start with some easier and achievable aerials and then we have a plan A and a plan B depending on how the class goes. You’ll get tips on good aerials technique and how to spot and practice safely. You can expect a few history nuggets, and some rest/drink breaks along the way.
** Note that we will teach different aerials to those that were taught in 2024 by Sarah & Evan **
TIME: 6.30pm - 9.30pm AEDT
*Please arrive a few minutes before the advertised start time, to check in and be ready to dance at the start of the session.*
LOCATION: The Space (Drama Room) – 318 Chapel St, Prahran VIC 3181 [enter via Carlton St]
Pair Passes only (1 Base + 1 Flyer) – you must register with a partner, and we will not change partners throughout the workshop.
