Rest supported in an aerial hammock as you're guided into deep release through headphones. No movement, nothing to achieve, just switch off.
About this Event

Get comfortable. And let yourself be held.

This session is a deeply restful, fully supported experience designed for people who need genuine switch-off time — not another class, not another thing to “do,” but space to settle, reset and restore.

You’ll be gently guided into a soft aerial hammock, where your whole body can relax and feel supported. Once you’re settled, there is no movement for the entire session. No stretching, no effort, no expectations. Just rest.

Sound is delivered through individual headphones, so you can drop into a quiet, cocooned experience without distraction from the outside world. Many people find this especially supportive if they are noise-sensitive, easily overstimulated, or simply crave uninterrupted calm.

The room is warm and softly lit. Blankets are provided, and you’re welcome to bring anything that helps you feel comfortable — an eye pillow, extra layers, even a flask of tea.

Cori from KOA Edinburgh will guide the session with a steady, reassuring voice. The approach is trauma-informed, welcoming to all genders, and designed to be accessible to most bodies. You don’t need any prior experience with hammocks, relaxation practices, or anything similar — you’ll be supported throughout.

While the session is framed simply as guided rest, it draws on principles from nidra-style practices, which research suggests can help regulate the nervous system, improve sleep, reduce stress, and support deep physical and mental relaxation. Combined with the gentle, held sensation of the hammock, many people find this creates a unique sense of weightlessness, containment and release that’s difficult to achieve on the floor.

This is an ideal experience if you:

  • Feel tired, wired, or overwhelmed
  • Struggle to switch off or rest deeply
  • Want a calm alternative to busy Valentine's plans
  • Are curious but unsure about mindfullness practices
  • Simply need an hour where nothing is asked of you

You arrive, settle in, are guided to rest — and leave feeling quieter, looser, and more restored.

No movement. No pressure. Just supported rest.
