AEGIS (LGBTQ+) is a unique support group to enable the young people to feel safe and secure in a caring supportive environment with dedicated and trained DBS checked volunteers and is free for the individual to ensure no financial boundary or discrimination.Run on a weekly basis 50 weeks per year, offering a wide range of skills and activities to reduce isolation and stress levels promoting positive values and friendships while enabling the young people to feel able to express their feelings and be themselves, the young people feel they need a safe space away from bullies and hate crime. Some explore then decide they are happy with the status quo; some progress their feelings and need further support.
