About this Event
Our next speaker in the series is Cat Burford, The Molar Explorer. In January 2025, Cat became the 13th woman to ski 708 miles solo and unsupported to the South Pole, fulfilling a childhood dream first sparked by her school geography teacher, Allyson Taylor.
With a lifelong love of adventure, Cat’s expeditions have taken her to deserts, mountains and remote corners of the globe, but she has always been drawn to the magic of the Polar regions.
Cat is passionate about using adventurous journeys to inspire, challenge stereotypes, and highlight both the urgent realities of climate change and the hidden barriers that still exist for women in polar exploration.
We will be shaking the donations bucket on the night to raise money for ‘Girls on the Run’ to reach over 200,000 girls and young women so bring some cash to show your appreciation.
The bar will be open from 6.30pm to enjoy one The Exeter Brewery's award-winning craft ales (other drinks will be available). Enjoy the talk and then stay for a pint with fellow adventure lovers after the talk, bar open until 9.30pm. Entry closes at 7pm.
