About this Event
This course presented by Megan Fairhall in collaboration with Philips Oral Healthcare and DMG, this comprehensive course aims to provide Dentists and Dental Therapists with an in-depth understanding of advanced teeth whitening and Icon smooth surface white spot removal treatments.
In addition to delving into the theoretical aspects of teeth whitening, Megan will guide delegates through the practical aspects of the advanced whitening process. This includes exploring the various causes of tooth discoloration, specifically addressing white spot formation. Attendees will learn how to differentiate between cases and formulate treatment plans that gain optimal results for their patients. The program also encompasses both theory and practical applicaiton in relatation to Icon smooth surface white spot removal and discusses minimally invasive restorative techniques.
By the end of the course, participants will emerge with confidence in their ability to execute advanced teeth whitening procedures and effectively utilise Icon in their practice. Each delegate will receive a complimentary Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush and Icon kit, along with a certificate for three hours of eCPD. Upon completing the post-course assessment and feedback form, attendees will be issued their three hour eCPD certificate.

Aim
To provide education to dentists and dental therapists on both the theory and practical aspects of advanced teeth whitening techniques and icon smooth surface white spot removal including minimally invasive restorative techniques.
Objectives and Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course delegates should:
- Have an understanding of the different types of teeth whitening treatments and percentages available in the UK and when each should be used.
- Have an understanding of the different causes of tooth discolouration.
- Have knowledge of treatment planning and management in reference to advance teeth whitening cases.
- Have an understanding of the formation of white spots
- Demonstrate the use of Icon treatments to remove white spot
- Have confidence in providing advanced teeth whitening techniques and tailoring treatments to their patients to gain safe, effective and long lasting results.
