This foundation course is designed to teach the theory and practical skills required to successfully carry out stain treatment work in a professional manner and in compliance with best industry practice.There is a strong practical component to the course in order that trainees can gain hands-on experience in identifying carpets and fabrics as well as product, methodology and equipment selection and use. Each trainee will receive access to the instructor to cover topics which are of particular importance to the trainee as well as course resources which will be useful to the trainee in their future practice.
This course refers to:
· Health & Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017;
· AS/NZS 3733:2018 Standards New Zealand – Textile Floor Coverings – Cleaning Maintenance of Residential and Commercial Carpeting; and
· IICRC S100 – Standard for Professional Cleaning of Textile Floor Coverings .
It is strongly recommended that trainees have completed the Ascend Foundation Carpet Cleaning to Industry Standard and Carpet Cleaning Practical courses prior to undertaking this course.
