We are pleased to announce an advanced educational seminar aimed at enhancing the knowledge and professional competence of Working Test judges for retrievers. The seminar will take place on 3 April 2026 in Tallinn, Estonia.
The programme will focus on the new Working Test regulations coming into force in 2026, with clear explanations of the rules and their practical application. Particular attention will be given to problematic and disputed situations that commonly arise at Working Tests, as well as to ethical responsibilities of judges and practical approaches to modern judging.
The seminar will be led by an experienced international Field Trial and Working Test judge Pieter Vivijs (Belgium), who is also the President of the FCI Retriever Commission and is actively involved in the development and interpretation of the current regulations.
The seminar is intended for:
• Working Test judges for retrievers from Estonia and neighbouring countries
• Judge trainees in Estonia who completed their judges’ education in 2025
This seminar provides an opportunity to discuss real judging cases, gain a clearer understanding of the new rules, and ensure a consistent and professional judging approach in line with international standards.
Registration to the seminar will be opened at February 2026. At the same weekend is possible to participate in the WT, held in Estonia at 4th April 2026.
