This 4 week advanced aerial hammock series is designed for experienced aerialists ready to refine technique, deepen endurance, and expand dynamic vocabulary in the air. Each class will focus on complex sequencing, advanced wraps and inversions, controlled drops, and fluid transitions that build toward a polished combination. Students will work on efficiency in the air, cleaner lines, and expressive movement while challenging strength and stamina.Throughout the series, we’ll break down intricate pathways, explore creative variations, and develop longer aerial phrases that connect skills seamlessly. Emphasis will be placed on safe progression, intentional movement, and performance quality.
Pre-requisites: Students should have a strong aerial foundation in hammock or silks. Already developed skills should include controlled aerial inverts, hip key, and able to do a pull up.
Most benefit gained by attending all 4 weeks, or come when you're able!
About guest instructor Savannah:
I first discovered circus arts when I took my first aerial class in winter of 2020. It was love at first sight and have been spending as much of my time as I possibly can training aerial and acro ever since. I grew up doing competitive gymnastics and tumbling and trampoline and have always loved to be very active. Outside of the circus world I love bouldering, hiking, and watching movies. I'm a zoology major at Weber State University and love learning eveything I can about anatomy, science, and the world around me.
The Salt Lake City Circus Center is located at Trolley Square, on the west side of the Whole Foods building, directly left of Pottery Barn. $25 Drop-in, 1 Trial pass or Included for Members.
