About this Event
Death, dying and planning for the end of life can be one of the most challenging topics to discuss for anyone working within health and social care. With the right knowledge and skills it can become one of the most rewarding. This half day training aims to raise awareness about the importance of planning for the end of life and enables participants to feel confident initiating conversations with service users and supporting them to discuss and record their end of life care wishes.
“A very good training course even though a difficult topic to discuss. I now feel more confident to discuss Advance Care Planning with service users”
This session will be led by Mireille Herbert Hayden, Health Psychologist and Founding Director of Gentle Dusk and Lisa Thomas, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse lead End-of-life and palliative care, North Bristol Trust.
