Bardon Youth, Adult/Junior Scotch Doubles Tournament Rules
1. All USBC Rules will apply.
2. Entry Fee: $50 per team $12 Lineage $31 for Smart Scholarship $2 for expenses, and $5 donation for Bardon Youth Scholarship Fund
3. Entry Policy: Please email all entries to [email protected] or fill out the jotform link in front of the flyer. Preregistration is preferred, so averages can be verified.
Entries will be limited to 96 bowlers, 48 teams total
4. Walk-Ins: Walk in entries will be allowed, based on availability, all walk in entries will close 30 minutes prior to the event starting.
5. Payment: Cash the day of the tournament.
6. Averages:
A- Current highest 2025-2026 USBC average in any sanctioned winter or summer league.
B- If no A, then we will be using the past two seasons that can be verified with 21 games or more.
C- If no A or B, an entrant will bowl scratch. 220 will be used as scratch average.
D- USBC rule 319a 2 – 10 pin rule will not apply.
7. Tournament Format: - Bowlers will bowl 4 games. The youth bowler will start each game. Bowlers will alternate shots. For example, if one player throws a strike, the other player starts the next frame. If the first player leaves pins standing, the partner must throw the second ball to attempt to pick them up. The highest total with handicap will be declared the winner.
8. Divisions: Tournament will be split into 3 divisions based on combined Adult/Youth Averages.
Divisions A B C
Average: 321 & above 261-320 260 & below
9. Handicap: Handicap will be 80% of 220 of each teams combined average.
Example: 180 + 200 = 380, 380/2 = 190. 190 would be the team combined average. Team Handicap
would be 24 pins per game
10. Prizes: 100% of the prize fund will be returned. SMART scholarship will be awarded. Scholarships will be held and administered by the SMART program through the USBC.
11. General Rules:
A: Bowlers can start checking in 1 hour prior to the event starting.
B: Practice will be 10 minutes.
12. Conduct and Dress Code
A: Improper Conduct will result in disqualification from the event
B: DRESS CODE: All clothing must be free of holes or tears. All clothing shall cover all undergarments appropriately, no midriffs, low cut or revealing clothing is allowed. All T-shirts and collared shirts must have sleeves. Full-length pants, capris, skirts, skorts and shorts are permitted. All skirts, skorts or shorts must be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. No Hats of any kind. Tournament Director will have final say.
C: NO electronic devices may be worn during competition. (ex: Headphones or Earbuds)
