Suffolk Parks & Recreation is excited to debut its newest event series: Adult Recess. The community is invited to take a break from the week’s hustle and bustle to enjoy a fun, laid-back evening designed for adults to unwind, play, and reconnect with their inner kid. All ages are welcome to attend Adult Recess, but only those 18-years-old and up are eligible to participate in the games.Adult Recess will take place on Saturdays from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m.
· Saturday, July 25 – Downtown Festival Park, 215 W. Washington Street.
Line dancing, Zumba, and musical games! Wear your dancing shoes!
· Saturday, September 26 – Wellons Park, 132 Pender Street.
Kickball! Teams will be formed at the start of the activity.
In addition to the featured activities, yard games will be available at each event. Enjoy classics such as Cornhole, giant Connect Four, Gaga Ball, and other recreational options, ensuring the fun continues all night.
Concessions will be available for purchase, as will alcohol for those 21-years-old and up with valid ID. Attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket for seating. Tents and other shelters are not permitted.
