On June 6, join Silvermoon LaRose of the Tomaquag Museum at Coggeshall Farm for a demonstration and discussion of the art and history of corn husk weaving. In this workshop, you’ll learn the traditional technique of corn husk weaving, transforming a material that’s often discarded into something purposeful. Working with zero waste in mind, you’ll create a mini woven mat to take home, connecting you to a sustainable, handcrafted practice rooted in Indigenous ingenuity. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
