Ask any professional chef and they’ll tell you the same thing: the most important tool in the kitchen isn’t a fancy gadget—it’s the knife in your hand. Whether you’re a beginner looking to feel more confident or a home cook wanting to speed up your meal prep, this hands-on workshop is designed to sharpen your technique. In this class, we strip away the intimidation of the kitchen’s most essential tool. You’ll learn the foundations of knife safety and how to properly care for your blades to keep them performing at their best. We will guide you through the “anatomy of a cut,” practicing everything from the precise Julienne and Batonnet to perfect Slices, Dices, and the delicate Chiffonade.
Beyond the cutting board, we’ll discuss how to choose the right knife for the right task—helping you understand the difference between a chef’s knife, a santoku, and a paring knife so you can shop and cook with clarity.
With a maximum of 16 participants, you’ll get the personalized attention needed to master your grip and find your rhythm. Come prepared to chop, learn, and leave with the skills to tackle any recipe with professional ease.
