Adis Rodriguez takes us on a heartfelt journey through the classics of Cuban song, sharing some of her most beloved compositions alongside personal memories of her childhood in Cuba.
Through story and song, Adis brings to life the romance, poetry, and emotional depth that define Cuba’s rich musical tradition — from timeless boleros to beloved canción classics.
Join us for an evening celebrating the music of Cuba — a country that has given the world some of its most beautiful and soul-stirring melodies — at a moment when this Caribbean nation is once again facing profound challenges. Together, we honour its enduring cultural spirit through the power of song.
Singer and composer Adis Rodriguez is the leader of Havana 1950s, an ensemble that in its fullest formation gathers 13 players forming the largest, woman-led Cuban group in the country! . This special, intimate version of the project features Juno and Latin Grammy winning Cuban artists Papiosco Torres(percussion), Roberto Riveron (bass) and Jorge Betancourt (piano).
