4 spaces available in total!
This two-part workshop guides you through building your own smooth finish Adirondack Chair from reclaimed scaffold boards, with our woodworkers there to help at every stage.
You’ll start with a tour of our South Street workshop to see how reclaimed timber is sorted, prepared and given a second life. Then we’ll lead you through every step: cutting the boards to size, shaping the back slats, assembling the frame, sanding thoroughly for a smooth finish, and applying a clear finish so the wood’s natural textures and tones stand out — leaving you with a clean, tactile surface you’ll want to sit on.
On the Saturday, we’ll finish with assembling your components, making sure your chair is not only beautiful but also durable enough for outdoor or indoor use. By the end of the day you’ll take home an Adirondack Chair made completely by you — a comfortable, handcrafted piece, ready to relax in your garden, porch, or living-space.
The Thursday session begins at 5:00pm and will finish at approximately 8:00pm.
The Saturday session begins at 10:00am and will finish at approximately 2:00pm.
You must be able to attend both sessions.
