An 8 week introductory course for parents/carers of children with ADHD. Starts 21/01/2025 at Greenhill School from 1 - 3PM
About this Event

These are 2 hour sessions held over an 8 week period for parents/carers to encourage individuals to learn about ADHD. The course supports parents to identify their strengths and areas of uncertainty, learning about executive functioning, understanding and responding to behaviour, and working towards improving the emotional environment in which the family reside. The course has multi agency input from social care, education and health colleagues; with one session outlining educational support for young people and one session being held in relation to ADHD from a Consultant Paediatrician.

Sesiynau dwy awr yw’r rhain a gynhelir dros gyfnod o wyth wythnos ar gyfer rhieni/gofalwyr i annog unigolion i ddysgu am ADHD. Mae’r cwrs yn cynorthwyo rhieni i nodi eu cryfderau a meysydd o ansicrwydd, gan ddysgu am weithrediad gweithredol, deall ac ymateb i ymddygiad, a gweithio tuag at wella’r amgylchedd emosiynol y mae’r teulu’n byw ynddo. Caiff y cwrs fewnbwn amlasiantaeth gan gydweithwyr gofal cymdeithasol, addysg ac iechyd; gydag un sesiwn yn amlinellu cymorth addysgol ar gyfer pobl ifanc ac un sesiwn yn cael ei chynnal mewn perthynas ag ADHD gan ymgynghorydd pediatreg.
