Ginger Bug is a party in Pembrokeshire for people who plant together & dance together. It's curated by landworkers and soil-lovers for everyone.On Friday 31st January we'll be celebrating Imbolc - the first day of spring. It's about preparing to sow plants for the new season and looking out for the white bloom of the hardy blackthorn to mark the end of winter.
We're hosting two special guests - Sadsugar and DJ Flatbread - alongside Sal, Shadow Flute and Nerveplant (aka NKC).
Sadsugar is a Bristol resident from Pembrokeshire. They hold down a sick monthly show on Bristol's cult fave radio station - Noods - and are co-captain of Side Eye, a roving party collective specialising in high energy club workouts and swampy electronic rhythms. Expect blistering big city beats ready to flip us out of the winter slumber.
DJ Flatbread is the alter ego of Brian Flowers-Price, who serves up banging music and equally banging flatbreads at Tap & Tân in Tenby. An underrated talent in the game, DJ Flatbread will be cranking out a fine selection of underground garage, UK funky and bass-heavy tracks. Fire music straight from the hobs.
We'll be back in our favourite night spot in South Pembs - Manorbier House, with our big soundsystem, land-based decor and foraged art installations from the Ginger Bug crew.
