A trauma-informed session to help you understand your mind, regulate your emotions, and take practical action. Limited to 12 men
About this Event

Feel stuck in cycles you can’t break?

You struggle to focus.

You start things and don’t finish.

You feel overwhelmed, avoid tasks, or shut down.

You get frustrated at yourself for “wasting time” or not following through.

This isn’t lazyness.

This is how your nervous system is wired.

This 3-hours mini masterclass for men (18+) with ADHD symptoms will help you understand what’s happening and give you practical ways to manage it.

What you’ll get

  • Understand your nervous system
Learn how ADHD affects focus, emotions, and behaviour in real situations.
  • Emotional awareness
Catch patterns earlier so you don’t spiral or shut down.
  • Practical tools you can use immediately
Simple strategies to manage overwhelm, procrastination, and inconsistency.
  • Validation
You’ll be in a room with men dealing with similar challenges.

What makes this different

  • Trauma-informed space
No pressure. No judgement. You control how much you share.
  • Built from real experience
Created with input from men across Sheffield based on real struggles.
  • Led by facilitators with lived experience of ADHD
Not just theory. This is grounded in what actually works.

What to expect
  • Clear, practical psycho-education
  • Group discussion (optional)
  • Guided self-reflection
  • Written journal prompts
  • Tools you can take away and apply straight away

Who this is for

  • Men (18+) with ADHD or ADHD-like symptoms
  • Diagnosed or undiagnosed
  • Struggling with focus, emotional regulation, or consistency

Why this session exists

This was built in collaboration with MEN UP NORTH, creative practitioners, and mental health professionals with lived experience of neurodiversity.

We also surveyed men in Sheffield.

This session directly responds to what they said they need.
This is our trial to see if there is demand for this in the city and in the future we can apply for more funding to run more.
