About this Event
Meet others with adenomyosis for an evening spent in the company of those who understand your pain.
In honour of Adenomyosis Awareness Month, the CN Tower will be illuminated in purple on Tuesday, April 30th, which will be visible approximately 30 minutes after sunset and between their standard five-minute light show every half hour.
At 7:30 p.m, we will gather at Stackt Market for some snacks and (non) alcoholic drinks. This area is the perfect place to see the light-up CN Tower in all of its glory (and get some great pictures too!)Our meeting spot will be in front of Blue Moon Brewery.
Around 9:00 p.m as the sky gets dark, we will walk over to the Sir Isaac Brock Bridge to continue the conversation and for tower viewing and photos.
Join us to experience solidarity and build community with others who have adenomyosis —a devastating disease that is not rare but is not commonly known by the general population.
This lack of awareness unfortunately impacts a patient's ability to get a timely diagnosis and treatment, as well as means that there are almost no funds allocated for research. Starting in 2022, patients, their families, and friends have gathered each year in solidarity to witness the CN Tower's beacon of purple light as a symbol of hope in the darkness
Together, we will discuss tangible ways to advocate, strengthen our numbers and work together to create change for adenomyosis.
If you don’t have adenomyosis, you’re welcome to join us to show support?
