Poets! Galleyway's back with another "Heard/Word Live!" Join us Friday, May 27 at 7pm at Adanne bookstore for a special event featuring poet and writer Kofi Antwi.

Kofi Antwi is an African American writer, educator, and assistant editor of Black Arts Movement Reader. Kattywompus Press published Kofi’s debut book Tidal Wave. Kofi’s devoted work to inner city communities has established a relationship as facilitator of writing workshops – that explore lyrics and memory as entries into one’s writing. Kofi Antwi's contribution as a writing facilitator has produced a generative workshop and reading at Salt City Reading Series.
Antwi's verses in Tidal Wave was featured in Poetry Foundation Open Door Reading Series, an exploration into one’s identity through the lens of creative expression, while pushing the boundaries of poetic intent. Kofi Antwi's poem vintage was nominated for Best Poem on The Web. Also, Kofi's writing has been published by Great Weather For Media, No, Dear, Rigorous, Stone Canoe, and various literary magazines and journals.
“Heard/Word Live!” is an open mic series celebrating diverse voices in poetry. It's an offshoot of Heard/Word, Galleyway's audio series highlighting compelling voices in poetry and prose. Select readings from the events will be featured as original audio recordings on the site.
