About this Event
Experience blacksmithing first-hand at the Simi Valley educational venue that keeps the ancient craft thriving.
Tour the facility, which starts with the front house and its displays of a wide array of metal handcrafts, where you can see the outcomes created when the tools from the exhibition are used in skilled hands.
Then tour the 10,000 square foot facility, including a backstage look at the “hot” room where all the tools for making tools are kept. You’ll get to see a short live demonstration of blacksmiths putting those tools to use. A side trip will include the grinding room used by bladesmiths.
Finally, view the “bling” room where the workshops in sheet metal forming, jewelry and chainmail making, and metal casting are held.
Adam’s forge offers blacksmithing classes for complete beginners who want to try working with metal and fire. Founded in honor of metal artist Adam Leventhal, the blacksmithing studio teaches time-honored techniques while allowing students to discover their own creative path.
By attending this studio tour, participants agree to hereby release and discharge Craft in America and Adam’s Forge from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action for injuries or damages arising out of participation in the studio tour.
