Boston's much-beloved Adam Ezra Group returns to Minneapolis in support of their latest effort dubbed The Album Project, an endeavor that's seen the band release 19 new singles since 2020, trading the traditional LP format for a steady flow of fresh material designed to keep their ever-expanding community active and engaged even beyond the pandemic.
The band's effervescent, feel-good vibes inspire fans to put one foot in front of the other, live in the moment and lean on one another to get through hard times.
Talk to any Adam Ezra Group fan around the country and they’ll tell you that each performance is a one-of-a-kind, community-driven experience, propelled by the spirit of the people in front of the stage. For both fans and band members alike, an AEG concert is a rally to live life with intensity and soak in the moments we share with one another.
Not believing in set lists, every AEG show provides a new and unique concert experience that the band records and shares with fans on thumb drives as part of their “Live Sound Project” every night.
Hailing from Boston, AEG’s unconventional approach to the music world has allowed them to surge beyond their beloved hometown and emerge as one of the most uniquely powerful live music experiences in the country. While Ezra has played with an array of musicians over the years, his current line-up, featuring Corinna Smith on fiddle, Alex Martin on drums, and Poche Ponce on bass, has been creating a new buzz around the country, as evidenced by their impressive tour schedule, ballooning tickets sales, and opening features with The Wallflowers, Galactic, John Oates, The Wailers, Southside Johnny, Graham Parker, and America.

When you go to an Adam Ezra show, solo or with the group, you will find fans who have traveled vast distances to be there – many of which rabid followers who try to accumulate as many AEG shows as possible throughout the year.
The start of every year has Adam Ezra out on the road on his annual “Get Folked Tour” which has Ezra playing in a different living room every night. It is a chance for the fans to hear unreleased songs and the stories behind the fan favorites, as well as get up-close and personal with Ezra in an intimate setting.
The band was about to start their “Get Folked Tour” in March of this year, but when COVID-19 hit the country and no concerts could be performed, AEG had to come up with an alternative solution. They managed to not only continue engaging their fans, but also gained new following through their nightly streaming concerts “The Gathering” which is watched by thousands. This is just another moment where AEG have shown how important it is to them to stay connected to people everywhere, no matter how far away they are.
It’s difficult to impart the roots-steeped, road-trippin’ essence of the Adam Ezra Group into a single word, but frontman Adam Ezra nonetheless keeps one in mind as something of a mantra: community.
Community is epitomized by a belief that has long doubled as a mission statement for the group: namely, that making music together is itself a form of grassroots organizing, capable of nothing less than changing the world.
