ADAA Chelsea Gallery Walk

The 's Gallery Walk returns to Chelsea on Thursday, May 14, from 5:00–8:00 pm. Organized by the foremost nonprofit organization supporting the nation’s leading fine art galleries, the event celebrates the vibrancy and depth of the ADAA’s gallery network.

Timed to align with May’s major art fairs across New York City, the 2026 edition invites visitors into a dynamic slate of exhibitions and special events, unfolding as the international art world convenes and attention is at its height.

Now in its eighth year, this free, after-hours event invites the public to explore dozens of exhibitions at 36 ADAA member galleries—all open late for one night only.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, many galleries will offer a range of special events—including artist talks, walkthroughs, and other programs uniquely designed for the Gallery Walk. Learn more about the special events on our website.

Info: From 4:30—5:30pm, in celebration of the opening of 'Paul Thek: Dream of Vanishing,' Andrew Durbin will moderate a conversation with curator Elisabeth Sussman and Alex Da Corte. Co-presented by Pace Live and The Watermill Center, the conversation will take place on the gallery’s 7th floor at 540 W 25th St.

Info: From 5:00—8:00pm, the gallery will host a reception featuring a live print demonstration. Guests can see Robert Rauschenberg’s 1960s solvent transfer process and late-printmaking methods, and Richard Serra’s oilstick editions, including hands-on examples of etched plates and textured prints.

Info: At 6:00 and 7:00pm, the gallery’s Director, Leslie Garrett, will lead guided walkthroughs of the exhibition 'Ruby Rumié: How Are the Children?'

Info: From 5:00—8:00pm, visitors are invited to contribute to a series of Sidewalk Mandalas using chalk on the sidewalk outside the gallery. The activation is presented in conjunction with the exhibition, 'Martha Jackson Jarvis: Elsewhere,' whose practice incorporates mandala forms as a central motif. Refreshments will be served.

Info: From 5:00—8:00pm, Casey Kaplan is hosting an opening reception for the exhibition of new works by Kevin Beasley.

Info: 5:00–8:00 pm, refreshments will be served on the occasion of the exhibition, 'John Armleder, Ripple: Furniture Sculpture and Painting after 1982.'

Info: From 5:00—8:00pm, artist Erwin Wurm will be in attendance on the occasion of the opening of his exhibition, 'Double Dream.'

Info: From 6:00—8:00pm, artist Lucia Laguna will be in attendance on the occasion of the opening of her exhibition.

Info: From 6:00—8:00pm, Sikkema Malloy Jenkins will host an opening reception for the exhibitions, 'Vik Muniz: Brushstrokes' and 'Raven Chacon: Scores for coming storms.'

Info: From 6:00—8:00pm, the gallery will host an opening reception for the exhibition of new and recent paintings and works on paper by Lisa Yuskavage at its 533 W 19th St location.
